There are so many ways to serve at Christ Church and space for you to serve on team.
Dear Christ Church family,
We wanted to write following our regular Gift Day at the end of January.
We were incredibly excited by the congregation’s response to the Gift Day. You will recall that David asked us all to fill in a card affirming our support for the direction we are going as a church and, for those that felt able, to pledge to begin or increase their giving to Christ Church. There was an overwhelming response to the vision God has given us and the significant majority said they would amend their financial contribution for which we are deeply grateful.
We are aware that quite a number have kindly updated their giving arrangements but there remain quite a few that haven’t based on the Gift Day commitments. Could we gently ask you to do so if that is still your intention. If you need any guidance please contact our Treasurer, David Boul, or our Finance Adminstrator, Carol Kent, via the church office.
As you know the aim of the PCC is to reach a place whereby our regular giving covers our day-to-day running costs, which means we can use one-off Gift Days for capital items such as building works. We are keen to gain clarity on the overall situation as soon as possible so that we can plan for the remainder of the year and into 2018.
On the subject of finances, it is wonderful to be able to report that our costs have been entirely covered for our Church Weekend Away at the Beaumont Estate thanks to some very generous gifts and pledges.
We are grateful and thankful for the partnership we have together in all that God is doing at Christ Church.
With best wishes,
James & Charlotte (Churchwardens)
