Parenting Course The courses we run at Christ Church are designed to encourage and equip parents. They involve a 6-session, informal small group course for parents who wish to learn more and discuss challenges, insights and ideas for parenting. The material we use is provided by Parenting with Confidence and the sessions are a mix of video teaching, small group work and open discussion. Courses are provided for 0-5 yr olds and 6-12 yr olds. We are hoping to provide a course for parents of teenagers soon. Topics covered are parenting types, really knowing your child, encouraging self-esteem, setting boundaries, listening, the strong-willed child, and many other topics. These courses are open to everybody. |
